Oscar Cordon serves as Technical Services and Innovation Director for Action Against Hunger. A global public health expert with more than three decades of experience living and working in the Americas, Asia, and Southern Africa, his expertise includes all facets of global and public health operations and management in maternal child newborn care, family planning, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, infection prevention control, nutrition, and food security.
Dr. Cordon’s life experiences around the world have allowed him to train and direct multiethnic and multicultural staff, collaborating, and establishing relationships with multilateral agencies, national governments, the private sector, humanitarian agencies, development organizations, academic institutions, and civil society organizations.
His visionary perspective has earned him opportunities for implementing technical programs promoting effective solutions for global institutions, developing staff capacity and growing opportunities in new markets, and streamlining and improving processes that produce effective results to reduce hunger and poverty.
Based in Action Against Hunger’s Washington, DC, office, Dr. Cordon is a trained medical doctor and a proud graduate of Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
