Thierry Laurent-Badin, Action Against Hunger’s Head of Program for the Democratic Republic of the Congo, has an extensive history working with ACF around the world.
Thierry started working internationally in Guatemala for Mayacoeur and as a medical evacuation logistician for the ELVIA Insurance Company in Paris. He joined ACF in February 2004 as a Head of Base in Man, Côte d’Ivoire, and then held the same position in Shabunda, DRC. He has worked as Country Director in Congo East, Afghanistan, Burundi, North Sudan and Nigeria. He also worked for shorter periods on special projects in Paris, Kenya and Pakistan. He brings with him a deep understanding of not only of ACF programs and missions, but also of the humanitarian sector, institutional donors and the current needs of the communities in which ACF works.
Thierry holds a Bachelors’ degree in Development Project Management from the University of Bordeaux.
