Norway's development policies seek to defy unequal distribution of power within and among countries, because by itself and in all circumstances, this inequality leads to injustice, repression and discrimination. Part of Norway’s contribution is based on individual rights and to help strengthen state's capacity to fulfill their obligation towards their citizens, as well as capacity-building for nationals to build a stronger civil society.

Uganda

In 2011, some five years after the collapse of the Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency, Uganda has reinforced stability in its troubled North, bringing 20+ years of insecurity and displacement to a close. Action Against Hunger has provided a range of support to the 1.8 million people leaving the displacement camps to return to their ancestral homes—a massive migration that has multiplied the needs for clean water, sanitation, and agricultural and livelihood support.
