Generalitat Valenciana

Generalitat Valenciana covers the different self government institutions under which the Spanish autonomous community of Valencia is politically organized.

Philippines

The Philippines has a troubled history of armed conflict between the government and various militant groups, uprooting millions of citizens from their homes over the last 40 years. While a climate of peace has prevailed over the past five years, huge inequities remain between the wealthy and extremely poor. Access to food and clean water remains a huge challenge to the most at risk, with more than 20% of Filipino children under age five experiencing malnutrition.

Peru

Peru has experienced significant economic growth over the past decade, but the gap between rich and the poor has not diminished and over 30% of its population remains poor, 10% of whom live in abject poverty. Peru has laudably reduced child malnutrition rates, but undernutrition remains a problem in the rural Andean regions where some 40% of families live in extreme poverty, over 30% of all children under five are chronically malnourished, and six in ten children are anemic and in need of iron supplements.
