Nutrition Security Policy

The ACF Nutrition Security Policy document forms the basis for a common multisectoral understanding of the global issue of undernutrition and how ACF commits to respond to it in a coherent, evidence based and holistic way.

ACF International: Annual Progress Report 2013

The fourth annual report from ACF International illustrates progress made towards the ACF International Strategic Plan for 2010-2015. The report is structured according to the five goals outlined in the plan and draws data from all of ACF's activities across the globe. ACF responded to three major humanitarian emergencies in 2013 such as the conflict in Syria, typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda in the Philippines, and violence in the Central African Republic while implementing new programs in Cambodia and Iraqi Kurdistan.

Access For All: Volume 2

What factors influence access to community-based treatment of severe acute malnutrition? Volume 2 of the Access for All series aims to contribute to the emerging body of evidence on barriers to SAM treatment services. First, this volume examined over 40 coverage assessments carried out by the Coverage Monitoring Network in over 20 countries to identify common barriers to access and understand how these vary according to programmes and contexts. Next, the public health literature was reviewed to determine whether these barriers were unique to SAM treatment services.

Briefing paper: Who cares about the impact of climate change on hunger and malnutrition?

Under the most optimistic global warming scenario, the effects of climate change on undernutrition would be devasting, and would undermine current efforts to reduce hunger and ensure good nutrition. Despite the obvious critical situation and strong interconnection, food and nutrition security is still markedly absent in climate change negotiations.
