Government trebles earthquake aid to Haiti

"A cargo plane chartered by humanitarian organisation Action Against Hunger with 20 tonnes of aid aboard arrived in Port-au-Prince at noon on Saturday. More sanitation equipment will be flown out from East Midlands Airport tomorrow."

Emergency Programs Launched in Haiti, Ensuring Access to Drinking Water for 35,000 People

An A340 cargo plane carrying 20 metric tons of emergency supplies and technical experts for Action Against Hunger | ACF International landed in Port-au-Prince Saturday morning, reinforcing ACF’s response to the Haitian population’s urgent need for clean water and sanitation. Another plane is scheduled to depart Monday evening with an additional 87 metric tons of emergency relief supplies.

Haiti: Access to Water and Sanitation Urgently Needed

PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI—Less than 48 hours after a massive quake devastated parts of western Haiti, Action Against Hunger’s teams already on the ground have fully mobilized to meet humanitarian needs. ACF Mobilizes Emergency Response to Crisis In Haiti

The humanitarian aid organization Action Against Hunger | ACF International is gravely concerned about the catastrophic situation that Haiti, and the city of Gonaives in particular, faces after the passage of three successive hurricanes.

Torrential rains and heavy winds have continued to batter Haiti for more than two weeks, accompanying the three hurricanes Gustav, Hanna and Ike. Gonaives remains very difficult to access due to complete flooding and the destruction of many facilities in the city.
