Case Study: CLTS Open Defecation Free (ODF) Declaration Celebration in Tetugu: Otuke District, Uganda

CLTS (community-led total sanitation) encourages community self-analysis of existing defecation patterns and threats, and promotes local solutions to reduce and ultimately eliminate the practice of open defecation. After initiatives from ACF to implement this approach onto Tetugu village, an external monitoring team visited Tetugu on an Open Defecaton Free (ODF) assessment and reported that 100% of HHs now had latrines.
