Action Against Hunger Goes to the Nonprofit Oscars

In just over two weeks, we will be nervously awaiting the opening of a golden envelope. That’s right, Action Against Hunger was nominated as a finalist at the Classy Awards!  

The Classy Awards, held in partnership with The United Nations and taking place on May 3rd in San Diego, have been described as “the Oscars for philanthropy,” as they are now the largest awards ceremony recognizing social impact.

Without a doubt, the key to cholera prevention is clean water. That’s why Action Against Hunger’s teams in South Kivu Province, in eastern D.R. Congo, make providing access to it their priority. This month, noted photographer Jana Asenbrennerova set out to capture our cholera prevention efforts through her lens. In the images below, you’ll see our work in action.
