We’re absolutely committed to financial transparency and hyper aware of the importance of good governance here at Action Against Hunger, so it’s gratifying when our efforts are recognized by external evaluators like Charity Navigator that provide independent assessments of our agency’s fiscal and organizational health.

Top Honors Again: Four-Star Rating, Six Years Running

Here at Action Against Hunger, we are able to do our critical work fighting deadly malnutrition thanks in such large part to our generous community of friends like you. And since we couldn’t do it without you, we want to make sure you can feel extra-good about supporting us. We’re pleased to announce that earlier this month, we received word that we’ve once again received top honors from Charity Navigator, the premier independent nonprofit evaluator in the United States.

Action Against Hunger has been named one of the top emergency response nonprofits by a panel of independent industry experts after evaluating a range of well-known international relief organizations.

Action Against Hunger Receives Top Charity Navigator Rating

NEW YORK, NY—Action Against Hunger has received the top rating of four stars by Charity Navigator for the fifth consecutive year, a feat accomplished by only 5 percent of the charities evaluated. The prestigious rating is awarded when an organization “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause,” according to the watchdog's website.

Action Against Hunger was selected as the "Short - Short Award" winner in MetaFest 2008 for its work World Water Day.

Action Against Hunger Honored with Tufts University "Global Citizenship Award"

On February 22, 2008, Nan Dale, Executive Director of Action Against Hunger – USA, accepted the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award at the 23rd EPIIC Symposium on Global Poverty and Inequality.

On behalf of the Institute for Global Leadership, Helaina Stein, member of this year’s EPIIC colloquium, presented Action Against Hunger with the Dr. Jean Mayer Global Citizenship Award in Boston on February 15.

Emphasizing the need for donations and assistance in Pakistan, Cathy Skoula, executive director of the international aid organization Action Against Hunger (also known as Action contre la Faim or ACF) opened The NASDAQ Stock Market today.
