Nutrition Security Policy

April, 2014

The ACF Nutrition Security Policy document forms the basis for a common multisectoral understanding of the global issue of undernutrition and how ACF commits to respond to it in a coherent, evidence based and holistic way. The specific aims of the document are to: highlight the issues and challenges, and define concepts around nutrition security; define the organization's vision and positioning for a systematic nutrition security approach; and provide overall principles, ambitions and commitments at institutional, strategic and programmatic levels to apply this vision. Developed collectively thanks to contributions from a large number of ACF staff in missions and HQs, from different sectors and functions, to best reflect practices and vision of the organization, the ACF Nutrition Security Policy will be followed shortly by a  toolkit in order to translate the policy principles into action.
