"The event on June 5 [The Great Gathering of Chefs] will also include tastings from twenty of New York City’s most celebrated restaurants, among them Townhouse, Sushi Samba, Telepan and Blue Smoke. Each restaurant will present an original take on “street food,” which will be served with a selection of high-quality beers. To boot, the event is one hundred percent green, meaning no non-biodegradable materials will be used (i.e., plastic bags or flatware). The event, which has been christened “The Great Gathering of Chefs,” will donate one hundred percent of its profits to Action Against Hunger, which works to eliminate malnutrition in children in over forty-six countries.
