"The annual Bastille Day party sponsored by the French Institute Alliance Française, on 60th Street from Fifth to Lexington Avenues, will be on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free, and there will be food and wine to sample and purchase. Another Bastille Day block party will be held on Smith Street from Bergen to Pacific Streets in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A French Restaurant Week, designed to coincide with Bastille Day, will run through Sunday, with 53 restaurants offering special menus for $17.89. The organizers will donate $1,350 to Action Against Hunger.
