Job Objectives: 
Action Against Hunger will open several bases in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the coming weeks. We are looking for Logistician, Nutritionists, Food Security Officers and Water & Sanitation Officers. Following are brief general descriptions of the positions; please read the full job description by clinking on the title before applying. Please indicate the position desired in the cover letter. Qualifications: 
Logistics Officer

The main focus of this position is to provide support to the Nutrition, Primary Health Care, Food Security and Water and Sanitation programs. The logistician must also build the capacity of the local logistic staff, and continue the review and improve the logistics practices of the mission, developing better harmonisation with the Administrative and Program functions in accordance with the ACF Charter. Two years work experience compulsory. Proven experience in organization and problem solving necessary, previous overseas work experience in logistics highly preferred. Applicants must have the ability to work within a team setting and deal with stressful situations. French fluency required.

Nutrition

Responsible for running supplementary feeding centers and implementing nutrition surveys in accordance with the ACF Charter. Applicants must have a degree in nutrition/dietetics and two years work experience. Previous overseas work experience and experience in nutrition is beneficial, as well as second language skills. Previous management experience is highly preferred. Applicants must have the ability to work within a team setting and deal with stressful situations. French fluency required.

Food Security Officer

The Food Security Officer works with the local population to ensure food security for the area. The responsibilities of the job vary among placement as well as over time. Projects may include helping to rebuild a food producing factory after a conflict or helping to set up a local market. The ideal candidate is able to analyze the situation and help develop long term solutions all in accordance with the ACF Charter. Applicants must have a degree in agriculture, agronomy, animal production, irrigation or related subject and experience in social sciences (economics, sociology, geography, anthropology, environmental studies). Two years relevant work experience required, overseas experience and database analysis and GIS (geographic information system) experience are essential. Applicants must have the ability to work within a team setting and deal with stressful situations. French fluency required.

Water and Sanitation Engineer

In charge of the establishment, maintenance and continuation of emergency water supply systems for the ACF program in accordance with the ACF Charter. Primary activity/responsibility is for the retrieval and updating of information compiled by ACF, from which the expertise of ACF can be developed. Applicants must have a degree in Engineering or equivalent, and further qualification in water and sanitation with focus on developing countries. At least two years relevant work experience is required. Previous overseas and management experience is highly preferred. Applicants must have the ability to work within a team setting and deal with stressful situations. French fluency required.
