Job Objectives:
Established in the USA in 1985, Action Against Hunger-USA re-opened its New York office in 1997 and currently has responsibility for seven missions in six countries: Democratic Republic of Congo East and West, Kenya, Pakistan, South Sudan, Tajikistan and Uganda. Action Against Hunger USA manages nearly $30 million in programs, has twenty-five permanent staff based in NYC, over 70 international employees and 1,200 national employees in the missions.
Main Objective
Responsible for running supplementary feeding centers and implementing nutrition surveys in accordance with the ACF Charter.
ResponsibilitiesOrganizing, implementing and interpreting, issuing recommendations for nutrition anthropometric surveys and nutritional causal analyses.
Designing nutrition programs supplementary or therapeutic feeding centers.
Managing and training national staff.
Collecting information on malnutrition.
Collecting information on food security.
Implementing nutritional surveys.

Qualifications:
Essential
Degree in nutrition/ dietetics.
Computer Skills.
Ability to deal with stressful situations.
Ability to adapt within the working enviornment.
Ability to work within a team setting.
Recommended Second language skills.
Experience Two years work experience compulsory.
Previous overseas work experience is beneficial (paid or unpaid).
Previous overseas work experience in nutrition is beneficial.
Previous management experience highly preferred.
