FAQ's about Fundraising
How much money should I raise?
There is no minimum to how much money you should raise for Action Against Hunger. Every contribution, large or small, counts and can make a big difference in the lives of those in need around the world.
To whom should checks be written?
Once you have completed your fundraiser, please ensure that all checks are made out to ‘Action Against Hunger’.
Where do I send the money I raise?
The funds you raise should be sent to Action Against Hunger--USA’s headquarters at 247 West 37th Street, 10th Floor; New York, NY 10018.
Can I collect food donations for Action Against Hunger?
Unfortunately, Action Against Hunger cannot accept food donations. Cash donations are the best way to ensure that those in need are being helped most efficiently and effectively.
Can I designate the country/region where the funds I raise will be used?
Because the needs of each situation we address are different from one another and need constant analysis to make sure that our funds are being used most effectively, we ask that you make unrestricted contributions to Action Against Hunger. Unrestricted funds allow us to respond quickly and most efficiently to unforeseen circumstances, such as in Myanmar after the cyclone in Spring 2008. Nonetheless, some restricted giving can be arranged. Contact
Action Against Hunger for more information.
