November 4, 2010
New York, NY

Join us for Action Against Hunger's 11th annual Benefit Gala on Thursday, November 4th at New York City's Capitale.

We are proud to present the 2010 Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award to the UN Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) and its Director-General, Dr. Jacques Diouf, for the "One Billion Hungry" Project that has engaged hundreds of thousands of people worldwide in the fight against hunger.

Dr. Diouf has provided both inspiration and momentum in the battle to eradicate rural poverty and hunger. ACF applauds the UN FAO's new "One Billion Hungry" Project for engaging hundreds of thousands of people worldwide in the fight against hunger, and is honored that Dr. Diouf has accepted to receive this award. Photo courtesy Giampiero Diana.
