Action Against Hunger's "Help ♥ Haiti" Benefit

February 14, 2010
New York, NY

This Valentine's Day, join Action Against Hunger for our Help ♥ Haiti benefit!

100% of the evening’s proceeds will support Action Against Hunger’s life-saving relief efforts in Haiti.

The evening’s musical lineup features Daniel Merriweather, whose Mark Ronson-produced debut album, Love & War, hit #2 on the UK album charts; Cameroonian Afro-pop sensation Kaïssa, just back from touring with David Byrne in 2009; singer/songwriter Clara Lofaro, who “effortlessly blends soulful singing with fun, poppy tunes” (Time Out New York); emerging rock talent The Tangents, just out of the studio with their debut album, New Amsterdam; NYC pastiche pop band, The Americans, showcasing their baroque, multi-layered sounds; and Brooklyn’s best source for ancestral house, Afrobeat, and music of the African Diaspora, DJ Sabine.

The evening features complimentary food provided by Vitella’s Cucina, signature cocktails by Ultimat Vodka, and a host of special guest appearances, including Wyclef Jean, who will address event attendees from Haiti; Academy Award Nominee and past recipient of the Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award, Susan Sarandon; and actor Cara Seymour, all of whom will introduce the evening’s performers and present on Action Against Hunger’s programs in Haiti.
