On World Food Day, we want to take a moment to highlight an amazing example of a community coming together and rising above the difficulties it faces. The town of Masi Manimba is 250 miles from the capital city of Kinshasa in the DRC, and until recently, acute malnutrition was rampant throughout the town. British aid agency DFID sent an Action Against Hunger emergency team to work in the region for three months, and our team stayed on an additional 8 months.... Read

Some things never change, even for the newest country in the world: South Sudan has been hit by another round of flooding. The period from August to October is known as the “flood season,” and each year thousands of people are displaced, and property and crops are destroyed.

This week, Action Against Hunger launched a campaign of advocacy and mobilization to demand justice for 17 ACF aid workers who were executed in the town of Muttur, Sri Lanka on August 4, 2006. The campaign is anchored in a signature video and petition that request an independent United Nations investigation to shed light on the circumstances of the murders and hold those responsible for the massacre accountable....
