Two years ago on 4th August 2006, 17 Action Against Hunger humanitarian aid workers were executed on their base in Muttur in Sri Lanka. They were killed in the offices of a humanitarian organization, a place which had, until then, been considered as a safe house. 17 of our colleagues, 17 friends, brothers and sisters. 13 men and 4 women. The international relief and development organization Action Against Hunger / ACF-USA was relieved to learn this morning of the liberation of its two staff members who were kidnapped on July 17th in Afghanistan. Our colleagues are apparently healthy.
Preparations are underway to expedite their return home to France.

Inline skating from Yorktown, Virginia to San Francisco, California, Sisson is taking this three month sojourn from the day-to-day life of a Dartmouth junior to benefit international aid group Action Against Hunger /Action Contre la Faim (ACF). Humanitarian organization Action Against Hunger | ACF-USA has published a report about the effects of rising food prices on people living in Monrovia, Liberia. Action Against Hunger is now raising the alarm about the seriousness of the situation. Urgent intervention is needed to prevent the situation from deteriorating any further.
