Hungry for Haute Street Food? Come to The Great Gathering of Chefs!

Next Tuesday, June 5th, 150 of the best chefs in New York City will converge at The Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan for the 8th Annual Great Gathering of Chefs, where they’ll sign the first 100 copies of the new cookbook Street Eats by food photographer extraordinaire Alan “Battman” Batt. This year’s book unites exquisite photography with delectable recipes from some of the world’s most distinguished chefs, including Eric Ripert, Michael White, Daniel Boulud, Shaun Hergatt, David Burke and Emeril Lagasse. The foreword was written by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
After the signing there will be an extraordinary tasting from 20 of New York’s finest restaurants including Jean Georges, David Burke’s Townhouse, Shaun Hergatt’s Sho, Sushi Samba, Michael White’s Osteria Morini, The Lion, Telepan and Blue Smoke. Each participating restaurant will serve their take on street food paired with a selection of great beers.
This unique event donates 100% of the money raised to Action Against Hunger, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have this honor. This year, the event is 100% green; all products used will be biodegradable or recyclable—even the garbage bags!
In New York? Come to the event!
There are only 350 tickets available for the tasting at $125. For $250, a person can attend the tasting and get a reserved, signed book. There are 20 special VIP tickets available for $1,000. VIP tickets give attendees an opportunity like no other—exclusive entry to the signing event where they can meet the chefs in person, a complimentary book autographed by every chef attending, and secure tickets to the tasting. Get details and buy tickets.
