Have you ever heard of HALT before? Well, HALT – Hunger Awareness Leaders of Tomorrow – is an Action Against Hunger affiliated student club, devoted to raising awareness about global hunger issues. Each chapter comes up with innovative and creative activities to raise awareness about and funds for Action Against Hunger.
This year we have 14 active HALT chapters from across the country making the 2010 -2011 school year HALT’s most popular year yet!
Just so you get a taste of what HALT groups do, check out The Alameda High School chapter from California – a chapter since 2009 – they posted a video on YouTube showing some of the different activities they have done to raise awareness and get community members involved in the fight against global hunger.
