When Troop Leader Mrs. Hargreaves asked her ten Girl Scouts what they wanted to do with their earnings from cookie sales, she expected them to suggest one of the ideas that the group had discussed earlier in the year -- a trip to a local water park or a sleepover night at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Instead, the nine and ten year olds were focused on one thing: using the money to help children around the world. Below are some reflections on why the girls chose Action Against Hunger for their $250 donation.
