NEW YORK, NY—In recognition of his long-standing commitment to the battle to eradicate rural poverty and hunger, Dr. Jacques Diouf, Director-General of the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO), will receive the annual Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award on November 4th at the organization’s Annual Benefit Gala at Capitale in New York City. Action Against Hunger | ACF International applauds the UNFAO's new One Billion Hungry Project for engaging hundreds of thousands of people worldwide in combating global hunger.
