We are proud to present Kayla Baker as the winner of Action Against Hunger’s first online student contest. Kayla, an 8th grader from Lebanon, Oregon, decided to enter ACF’s student contest to raise awareness about global hunger. Her poem, Hunger, was inspired by the people in her community struggling with hunger.
Kayla expresses her concern for those who are hungry around the world and stresses the importance of raising awareness about the global hunger crisis. Kayla believes that each person has the ability to make a difference and urges students from all over the country to participate in future contests and become part of the initiative to end global hunger and malnutrition.
